Death penalty for President Mohamed Morsi

Recently, we took knowledge of the cruel decision of execution for the first democratically chosen president of Egypt: Mohamed Morsi. The president who got the majority of the votes is now prisoned and is convicted to a death penalty.

We are deeply shocked by this decision from the court and we contest the integrity and righteousness of this decision.
Not only will this decision bring more damage to the democratization of Egypt, but it will also bring more internal aggression and conflict which will result in segregation within the society and external pressure.

Therefore, we request immediately an objective court that suits the standards of the International Humanitarian Law and not to continue this process until a more democratic and righteous system is available.

Yours faithfully,
